Meet the Dogs

I realized the other day that I have never really properly introduced all of the dogs here. I figured now would be as good a time as any. We have adopted many dogs over the years, these are our four current dogs. Another day, I will introduce our rainbow bridge dogs.

Polly

Polly is our 9 year old Miniature Pinscher. Miss Polly was adopted in 2023 when she was 6 years old. Polly is our anxious little girl (she takes Prozac every day). She is afraid of storms, fireworks, smoke detector beeps, coffee machine beeps, etc. She is also very loving and sweet with her doggy siblings. She is a daddy’s girl (took her awhile to get there, we suspect previous abuse or mistreatment by a male), but now she lays with daddy every single day. One of her absolute favorite things to do is sunbathe.

Bentley

Bentley is our 9 year old YorkiePoo. My husband got Bentley before we ever met, so he is 100% daddy’s boy. I am the spare human and he tolerates me at best! Bentley like snuggling, especially if you have a blanket. He loves his chompy bones and meeting new people. Oddly enough, he loves bigger dogs, too! He’s a sweet little guy. According to my husband, Bentley is just a baby and will never get old. Bentley is also the King of the Household!

Elsie

Elsie is our 3 year old Heinz 57 dog! She is mixed with many breeds, but most prevalent are Chihuahua, Dachshund, and Beagle. She is the sweetest and calmest little girl…unless we are on walks, then she is a little menace! She was surrendered to the rescue because her previous owners refused to get their dogs spayed/neutered and they kept having puppies…and they didn’t want all those puppies. Their loss is our gain! Elsie is a momma’s girl and is mostly found in my lap, snuggling Betty, or laying in the grass. She is a go with the flow girl.

Betty

Betty is our 2 year old Chihuahua. She was abandoned and came to us pretty sick. She had tape worms, pyometra, and was basically scared of everything and everyone. In the year that we have had her, she has come a long way. She absolutely adores me and my husband. She is best friends with Elsie and they play together all the time. But, she is also 100% a gremlin. She causes chaos wherever she goes. She also demands constant belly rubs. She is the Queen of the Household.
